Within an hour or two of Townsville you can stand in tropical rainforest, walk the wetlands of the coast or head out into the dry country where the inland birds live. Every tour below is a starting point. Tell me what you'd like to see and I'll shape the day around it.

Meet your guide
I run small, private bird and nature tours from Townsville. I've spent years exploring the rainforest, wetlands and dry country of North Queensland, and I take most of the photos you'll see on this site myself.
I look after the transport, food, accommodation and gear, so all you have to do is look up. Placeholder: a sentence or two more about how you got into birding and what you love about this part of the world.
From the field
A few of the regulars on my tours, all photographed close to Townsville.

“Placeholder: a sentence or two from a guest, in their own words, about the day and what they saw.”
“Placeholder: a short quote about the guide's local knowledge or a favourite sighting.”
“Placeholder: a quote about how the tour was organised, the food or the pace of the day.”
Tell me which birds you're after and when you're in Townsville, and I'll suggest the right tour.
